On Friday June 21, 2019 the members and friends of the Sterling Heights Rotary Club gathered together on the beautiful links of the Greystone Golf Club located in Washington Township, MI. Rotarians and friends gathered that day for some golf but more importantly to raise money in support of the various community projects put on annually by the Sterling Heights Rotary. With Rotarian Clark Andrews tasked with ensuring the weather maintained its beauty he was successful in calling upon the sunshine to brighten our day. As a result of the amazing sponsors, golfers, friends and Rotarians, we raised over $11,000 to support local projects. Local projects include a holiday party for youth at the MISD POHI program, Valentine's Day at Bozymowski school, the Sterling Heights Bike Trail, free helmets for youth at the Sterling Heights Night Out, scholarships for local high school students, fighting the opioid crisis, serving up Thanksgiving meals to families in need and much more! We can't thank all those who supported us enough but fun was had by all with an amazing putting contest, raffles, silent auction and an amazing meal to wrap it all up. We also need to thank the many volunteers that joined us that day, Scouts from Troop 1402 of Fraser, MI and many friends of Rotary, volunteers make it all happen. Check out our Facebook for highlights of the outing and don't forget to save the date for the 2020 Golf Outing to be held on Friday June 19, 2020 at Greystone Golf Club.
