On Thursday February 21, 2019 the Sterling Heights Rotary Club hosted their annual John A. Bozymowski School Valentine’s Party for the 22nd year. The John A. Bozymowski school, in Sterling Heights, is part of the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) and specializes in the education of secondary students with autism. Each year, the Sterling Heights Rotary brings Valentine’s joy to these students as this is the one time all the students gather together for lunch and get to enjoy pizza and pop, provided by the Rotary club. The students look forward to this event every year. Joining the Sterling Heights Rotary club, to put on this great event, was a local group of Kohl’s Cares Volunteers, from the Lakeside Mall Kohl’s store located in Sterling Heights. The event also enjoyed the presence of MISD School Board President John A. Bozymowski, who the school is named after and who is a former member and President of the Sterling Heights Rotary Club. After the students were filled with pizza and pop the Rotary club graced them with 2 Valentine’s themed songs, with a slight Rotary twist. Following the lovely music, the students received custom made t-shirts in which each year as they receive the t-shirts they exchange with the Rotary members beautiful and personalized Valentine’s cards as they show their appreciation. Thank you to the volunteers, Rotary Club members and the teachers at the school who ensure the success of this event each yea
