Since the Rotary Club of Sterling Heights was chartered on May 06, 1969, the members have been active in providing community service.  Ever since I have been a member now 28 years, we have entertained the special needs children in three of the MISD school located in Sterling Heights. Each year a Christmas party is given for the Maple Lane School, Autistic children, which we provide gifts of T-Shirts with their school logo.  the same for the Bozymowski Center for Valentine.  Likewise, at Christmas time, we provide a party for the POHI students of Plumbrook Elementary School.  These are children that are Physically or Otherwise
Health Impaired. Gifts are provided as suggested by the parents via the teacher then to us.  Santa and Christmas Carol pass out the gifts.  The firefights of Sterling Heights pose as the two characters as well as Sparky the fire fighting dog and Jeffery the Giraffe.  Parents, siblings and other relatives are welcomed as well.
